Lacienta derives its name from the Italian word Pazienza - patience - the very essence of our craft. Patience is at the heart of every stitch, every fitting, and every detail that goes into our garments. It is the quiet force behind the care and dedication we bring to our atelier each day.

With nearly 20 years of experience, Maria Zoghby began her journey in fashion by opening her first atelier on the 7th of february 2006.

Starting with clothing repairs, she sharpened her skills before pursuing formal studies in fashion design with Michel and Mariette Atallah in Beirut, later specializing at the Academy of Fashion Design in Jounieh.

Her creativity and talent were soon recognized. In 2017, she participated in the Salon du Chocolat in Beirut, where she collaborated with chocolatier Ezzedine Sultan to design a stunning chocolate dress. She also earned second place in the Academy’s fashion design competition by creating a gown for Miss Arab at the "World Next Top Model" event held at AquaMarina Club. While managing her atelier, she also balanced motherhood with her studies, a true testament to her determination and passion.

In 2013, she branded her atelier under the name Mia Maria Couture and launched her first bridal collection, The White Sun. For years, she worked closely with her growing clientèle, offering tailor-made soirée and bridal gowns in Lebanon and around the world, including France and Australia.

In 2022, she introduced her current brand, LACIENTA, a refined reflection of her growth, dedication, and vision.

She began by launching her first spring collection solo in 2022, followed by a second one and a debut winter collection in 2024 and 2025. The new 2026 spring/summer collection continues to carry the brand’s signature elegance and savoir-faire.

From a single atelier to a growing maison de couture, her story is one of resilience, artistry, and a heartfelt commitment to creating timeless designs for life's most meaningful moments.

In 2023, her youngest daughter, Oriana, joined the adventure as co-director. Working hand in hand with her mother, she brings fresh vision and energy to Lacienta - helping shape its journey through creative direction, strategic decision-making, and marketing.

Lacienta is also the result of many talented hands behind the scenes. A dedicated team of artisans contributes their expertise in crochet, hand embroidery, and garment confection - each one bringing their heart and craft to every piece we create.

In 2025, the maison entered a new chapter with a refined rebrand, marking an exciting evolution for Lacienta and the beginning of a renewed commitment.

In 2026, Lacienta's main shift is redesigning the atelier to make it a space that values comfort and beauty. We hope to see you in our atelier, to discover our life work and be a part of our world.
